The poems in this volume fall roughly into two halves, all of which show the range both of Durrell's temperament and of his realizations. 

Signed by the author in purple to the front free endpaper.

Condition: Near fine. Grey boards with gilt title to spine. A touch of mild bumping to top corner and bottom of spine. Otherwise, sharp with a firm binding. Light spotting to prelims with one or two very faint marks to pages. Text is crisp and clear. Original jacket is superb, with a little wear to edges. 1.40 net remains to front inner jacket flap. Overall, a lovely, well preserved copy.
